After her nap today, Presley asked if we could call her Daddy. Fortunately, he was on a short layover in Denver where we could catch him for a quick conversation. We dialed him on speaker phone, and apparently he was in the cockpit while people were boarding the plane. After she told him all about our day (playground! walk Mac! wagon! water!), he told us how the thunderstorms in Denver delayed their flight by an hour. He was upset that it will now be really late before he gets home tonight. Presley piped in with, "Don't worry, Daddy!"
How could that not make your day?
Presley has started saying this to me a lot lately too. Anytime I say anything with a concerned or serious tone, she says, "Don't worry, Mommy!" I would say my biggest struggle in life is with anxiety. Clearly, knowing this, God give me a child who would remind me every day to cast my worries aside because He cares for me. (1 Peter 5:7)
