Long Time No Post! & 7 Months Old

I can't believe that the month of January is coming to an end.  I don't exactly know where the month went!  I do know that we got Presley's 6 month pictures taken (images to come!), Blake achieved getting sunburned during the winter by traveling to Costa Rica for Frontier, we finally got a measurable amount of snow, work has been crazy for me, and Presley encountered her first nasty sickness when she got RSV.  So I guess a few things have happened.  :)  I think that having a sick child is some under-publicized form of torture.  It is horrible watching your baby have a fever and struggle to breathe.  Fortunately, Presley seems to be on the mend now and we are back to getting a reasonable amount of sleep.

On the 20th, Presley turned 7 months old!  Here is some of what she has been up to lately...

- This month's photo was the most challenging one we have taken yet!  She kept wanting to attack the camera.
- Presley is now on the move!  She started the month scooting and now she is crawling.  It is still slow and steady at this point, but I know it won't be long until she is making tracks.  Baby-proofing here we come!
-She eats solids twice a day now.  Her favorites are sweet potatoes and pears.  She doesn't seem to like carrots or bananas.
-Presley loves to "talk".  She is almost constantly babbling and making a noise of some sort. 
-She likes to say "oooh, ooh, ooh" when she sees something she likes.  If you are holding her, she will lean towards it and try to touch it.  Top things earning this sound are: her baby monitor, a picture of herself hanging on the fridge, the fan, the window overlooking our porch, and our dog, Mac.
-Presley smiles and laughs a lot.  Fake sneezing, peek-a-boo, and funny faces will get her every time.
-She is now wearing 6-9 month clothes.  She just had a growth spurt because she was still wearing her 3 month things at Christmas!

The month to come promises to be a lot of fun!  Blake and I are having birthdays, and we are all headed to SC as a family in a couple of weeks.  I can't wait for everyone at home to see how much our little girl has grown.
